The Cosy Snug

The Cosy Snug

We often try and find ways of making our rooms larger. But in this case we were coming up with ways of making it smaller! An extension was added to the back of the house (see our Japani kitchen) which meant there was no need for the patio doors. We knew by boarding this up, the room would become a dark tunnel. Instead, we bought the wall forward to utilise the space behind the extension, then replaced the doors with a bespoke floor to ceiling mirror. Not only does this mirror look amazing, it’s doing a far more important job – reflecting the light from the bay window opposite. This makes the room feel lighter and appear bigger! Using Farrow & Ball Stiffkey Blue to create a cosy space, ready for a glass of wine, book and The Project at Home Lounge Playlist.
